The E-Cell of SIBM Bangalore organized ‘Antarprerna’, an event providing a thinking platform for the budding entrepreneurs of the city.
The topic for the event was ‘Entrepreneurship Challenges in the 21st Century & The Future of Entrepreneurship’.
The speakers included some of the famous entrepreneurs like Mrs. Kavita Iyer, Co-Founder & CEO, Minglebox Communications; Ms. Nandini Vaidyanathan, Co-Founder & Director, Capacity Building and Mentoring Services at CARMa Venture Services; Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Co-Founder & Director, MADA Marketing; Mr. Mitesh Shah, Co-Founder, Credence Family Office; Mr. Ranjit Rau, Professor, SIBM Bangalore; and Mr. Joydeep C, Head, HR function of software services MNC, who is in the process of starting his own online travel portal.

The keynote speaker, Kavita Iyer, shared the story of Minglebox’s journey from its starting as a Social Networking Site in 2006, to its current success in the education space. She advised the students to take up projects in start-ups so as to get a taste of entrepreneurship. The second segment was an interactive panel discussion moderated by Ms. Nandini, where the panelists shared with the audience their thoughts on the challenges and rewards of becoming an entrepreneur.
The event was concluded with the unveiling of the E-Cell brochure, and the announcement of this year’s team. The E-Cell of SIBM Bangalore is a student initiative under which all the budding entrepreneurs of the institute come together to give shape to their business ideas, and promote the spirit of entrepreneurship.
